A quick note to let you know what a terrific resource you have in Tim Hardway.
With our Volvo XC70 coming off lease this month my wife and I were in the market for a new car.
It was our intention to upgrade to the XC90 but after a little research and filling out a few online quote forms we received an invite from Tim to stop by for a test drive of the Acadia.
On our way to the Volvo dealership we popped in to take a look and were warming greeted by Tim. He had a few other customers circling but took the time to introduce himself to the kids and set us up with a test drive.
We drove the car, liked the ride and stopped back to see Tim. We sat for a bit and discussed preliminary numbers but with us on our way, and already rather strongly pre-disposed, to Volvo we thanked Tim for being generous with his time and parted ways.
A few days later, with us still leaning towards the XC90, Tim reached out to see how we were doing and offered his assistance if we had follow up questions.
We traded a few emails back and forth and I began to very much appreciate Tim's responsiveness, flexibility and honesty.
The more impressed with Tim I became the more willing I was to sit and re-think my stance on something other than a Volvo.
The Acadia does have a larger third row, better trunk space, lower sticker price, better price flexibility and much better financing terms. Combined with a salesperson we had grown to trust we had to give GM another look.
Tim and I must have traded a dozen emails over the course of a day. He responded immediately and directly. Answering each question and providing lots of options with fair pricing.
He presented an offer I thought was fair so between innings of my sons RVC Little League down the block at Hickey Field I stopped in and sealed the deal. The terms Tim offered and the options he suggested in his email were exactly what were presented when we sat down to complete the sale. The meeting was efficient and pleasant - not at all what one usually associates with buying a car.
My wife and kids joined me Wednesday evening to pick up the new car. Tim again showed his warm personality and welcomed us. He made the paperwork process painless [even arranging for the insurance] and took a great deal of time to get us comfortable with the new car.
He took the time to answer my two young children's questions and even synch'd two cell phones to the bluetooth. I'll gladly recommend Tim and the Acadia to my friends.
